How GOP Presidential Candidates are Restricting Voting Rights

Politicians have sought to limit the power of the Voting Rights Act since its passage in 1965.  Ari Berman, senior contributing writer for The Nation, investigated how GOP presidential candidates like Ted Cruz are using redistricting tactics and a weakened Voting Rights Act to limit voting rights for African Americans in his article, “How the GOP Candidates Are Blocking the Vote.”
