Since their first album came out in 2000, the oddly-named New Pornographers have been making songs that blend enormous choruses with almost Beatles-style productions. They’ve consistently been one of indie rock’s most successful bands, and their new album, called In the Morse Code of Brake Lights, once again features the easy melodicism of songwriter Carl Newman and the distinctive voice of Neko Case. The New Pornographers play Thursday, Nov. 7,  at Brooklyn Steel.
