David Banks to Become New York City's New Schools Chancellor

New York City Mayor-Elect Eric Adams has made his first big administration announcement: David C. Banks will become chancellor of the city’s public school system.

Adams will formally introduce Banks at an elementary school in Crown Heights, the same school Banks attended as a kid.

WNYC's education reporter Jessica Gould joined Morning Edition host Michael Hill to talk about the new appointee.
