Nick McCarthy, the programming and operations manager at NewFest, the New York Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, & Transgender Film Festival, joins us to discuss the festival, which begins next week on October 24 and runs through October 30. They’re celebrating their 30th anniversary and will screen a wide range of feature-length fiction films, documentaries, and shorts from New York and around the world. Opening night will take place on October 24 at the SVA Theater and will feature a screening of Yen Tan's new film, "1985."
