NJ Mandates New Police Rules For Use Of Force Against Civilians

New Jersey's Attorney General released new guidelines governing how the state's police officers may utilize use-of-force against civilians. Among the new changes: police are prohibited from any use of physical force except as an "absolute last resort." It's the first revision to the state's use of force policy in twenty years, and Grewal says it will mark the start of a "new era of policing" in the Garden State.
