NJ Transit and LIRR Commuters: What Are You Seeing Monday?
Today's the day. Extensive track repairs at Penn Station mean that about 17,000 commuters who regularly take NJ Transit or the Long Island Railroad into the city now have to use alternate routes for the next eight weeks. If you're one of those riders, here's everything you need to know about getting into town.
And if you're one of those commuters, you also know that things were not perfect before today’s track repairs began. You regularly deal with delays, cancellations, updates over an intercom that are barely audible or just don’t make sense.
But today’s also the day the entire region is paying close attention to you and what you’re going through, which means this is your chance to show your fellow citizens, and the powers that be, what you're experiencing.
