NYC Declares State of Emergency, Bans Large Gatherings, Nursing Home Visits

Mass gatherings are canceled indefinitely and state and city governments announced other sweeping changes to stop the spread of the new coronavirus. But "there are three things we want to preserve at all costs," says Mayor Bill de Blasio. "Schools, mass transit and health care system, and all those pieces interconnect."
