NYC Public School Students React to Shortened Spring Break Due to Coronavirus

New York City public schools won’t be observing spring break as scheduled this year.

The break was originally supposed to start on April 9th and continue through the 17th. But now that schools are in remote learning mode, teachers and students will be on break from April 9-12 (for Passover and Easter) and return on Monday for a week of “special programming.” The directive comes from Governor Andrew Cuomo’s office.

Tenth grade students at Brooklyn Collaborative high school reacted to the news in their daily homeroom video conference on Google Meet.
