NYC Women's March, 'The Secret Life of Muslims'

All Of It with Alison Stewart | Jan 17, 2019

Our colleagues at Gothamist, Ben Yakas, the culture editor for the site, and writer, Claire Lampen, join us with an update about what's happening around the city and also about the Women’s March events coming up this weekend. Susan Chira, (at 15:10) New York Times senior correspondent and editor on gender issues, continues the conversation about the Women's March with our listeners.

Executive producers Reza Aslan and Josh Seftel (at 33:23) join us to discuss creating the Emmy-nominated web series "The Secret Life of Muslims," which features humorous and moving accounts of what it’s like to be Muslim in America. They are joined by Debbie Almontaser, a Yemini-American educator and community activist, who is featured in the series.
