NYU Professor and Journalist Barred from Investigating NYU Abu Dhabi

The Leonard Lopate Show | Mar 23, 2015

NYU Professor Andrew Ross and the lawyer and journalist Sean O'Driscoll talk about their experiences trying to investigate human rights abuses in Abu Dhabi. O'Driscoll’s article for the New York Times, “Workers at N.Y.U.’s Abu Dhabi Site Faced Harsh Conditions” discusses the mistreatment of the immigrant workers who built NYU Abu Dhabi. After the article was published, O'Driscoll was deported from the country, and Ross was recently prevented from boarding a plane when going to conduct research at NYU's Abu Dhabi campus.
