The Oddysy ft. Chuck D – Bang Bang (Weekly Music Roundup)

The Oddysy is a funk/rock/hip hop duo – they spell their name O D D Y S Y, by the way – and they seem to have a real love of vintage hip hop sounds. Their new single, "Bang Bang", is full of classic scratching and sampling, and also features a verse by the hip hop legend Chuck D, of Public Enemy. The lyrics actually echo the sounds of Public Enemy’s music: they talk about resistance and perseverance in the face of racism, anger and a refusal to meet violence with violence. "Bang Bang" by The Oddysy, featuring Chuck D, is part of our Weekly Music Roundup.
