'Once Upon a (korean) Time' Blends History and Fairytale

The playwrighting debut from actor Daniel K. Isaac is an ambitious tale of family and grief, using Korean fairytales to tell the story of how one family passes down trauma and resilience in the wake of conflict and war. The play, commissioned and produced by Ma-Yi Theater Company, is titled, "Once Upon A (korean) Time" and is playing at La MaMa through September 18. Isaac joins us to discuss.
