The Leonard Lopate Show | Jan 23, 2017

Stéphane Gerson, historian and professor of French studies at New York University, joins us to discuss his new book, Disaster Falls: A Family Story. Gerson offers an account of living with grief following the tragic death of his 8-year-old son, Owen, who drowned on a family rafting trip. He chronicles the aftermath, and how it affected his marriage, and his relationship with his surviving son.

Stéphane Gerson will be at Rizzoli Bookstore (1133 Broadway, at 26th St.) for a talk and book signing at 6:00pm Wednesday, January 25th. For more information, click here.
