John Hockenberry and Our #MeToo Moment

Suki Kim, writer and the author of Without You, There Is No Us: Undercover Among the Sons of North Korea's Elite (Broadway Books, 2015), and WNYC reporter Ilya Marritz talk about allegations of harassment and bullying at WNYC by John Hockenberry, the former host of The Takeaway. Kim first reported the story for The Cut, where she detailed several accounts from former interns, producers and co-hosts on their experiences being harassed and bullied by Hockenberry. Marritz also reported the story for WNYC and found that Hockenberry's under performance as a host was another factor in the station's decision to not renew his contract.
