From Packed Racks to Boutique Chic

A Salvation Army thrift shop recently re-opened in Greenpoint with a hip boutique vibe to match the neighborhood. Mark Mitchell, professor of marketing at Coastal Carolina University and photojournalist Jenna Isaacson-Pfueller (who has visited thrift stores in 48 states) discuss the way thrift stores have evolved for the organizations that run them, shoppers and donors.
