Today is probably just another day for composer Philip Glass. But for his fans, it’s an embarrassment of riches. On Thursday, Glass’s Days and Nights Festival, an annual meeting of the arts and sciences in California, streams a live performance by his own band, The Philip Glass Ensemble, recorded at the 2017 edition of the festival. And Thursday  night, March 18, the Met Opera is streaming its 2019 stunning production of Glass’s opera Akhnaten, about the pharaoh of that name. The Philip Glass Ensemble retrospective concert becomes available online today, and this opera is tonight’s free stream from the Met.
