Photographer Saul Leiter, “In No Great Hurry”

The Leonard Lopate Show | Nov 13, 2013

Director Tomas Leach discusses his documentary “In No Great Hurry,” about the life, art and work of photographer Saul Leiter. Together with contemporaries Diane Arbus and Robert Frank, Saul Leiter is recognized as one of the founders of The New York School of photography of the 1940s and 1950s, but he never sought the spotlight. He’s amassing an archive that threatens to take over the apartment he’s  lived in since 1946. “In No Great Hurry” is screening as part of DOC NYC, and is being shown November 16 at 1:45 pm at SVA Theater.
