Piers Faccini's Songs of Time Lost

Piers Faccini is an English songwriter with an Italian background who lives in France. He's also a sensitive and expressive singer, as comfortable performing in Italian as he is in English. His new recording, "Songs of Time Lost," brings him together with French cellist Vincent Segal, and the two have created a lovely album of originals and well-chosen covers. David Garland features highlights from the album, as well as sonically-related music by Arthur Russell and Nick Drake, plus some surprising music from films.
