Rachelle Garniez and Accordions Around the World at Bryant Park

Rachelle Garniez is singer, songwriter, composer, and multi-instrumentalist, and while the instrument she probably plays the most these days is the piano, it’s the accordion that colors some of her more colorful and offbeat numbers. She has busked in Venice and made music with Gypsies in the south of Spain. Garniez is also a performing member and co-musical director of the Neo-Cabaret troupe The Citizens Band, and plays in the global ensemble Hazmat Modine. Rachelle Garniez joins accordionists from Colombia, Ireland, Brazil, Scandinavia and beyond- as part of Accordions Around the World, (curated by Ariana Hellerman) tonight at Bryant Park.
