Remembering Gerald Wilson
The Leonard Lopate Show | Sep 9, 2014
Gerald Wilson died yesterday at the age of 96. He began playing in the 1930s, and over his career he played and composed music with Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Dizzy Gillespie, and he arranged music for Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, and Sarah Vaughan, among others.
Wilson was a guest on the Leonard Lopate Show in 2006, and you can listen to that interview above.
