'Renegade Dreamers'

Director Karen Kramer joins us to discuss the new documentary, Renegade Dreamers.” The film is a window into the world of New York spoken word poets and folk singers of today who use their art for social change, interwoven with the Beat poets and radical protest singers of the legendary Greenwich Village coffee house scene of the 1960s that started it all. It will have a week-long theatrical release starting May 31st at Cinema Village in New York City.

 

On Friday, May 31st after the 7:10 p.m. screening, there will be a Q&A with director Karen Kramer and some of the local musicians and poets. From Saturday, June 1st through Thursday, June 6th, director Karen Kramer will be in attendance for Q&As after the 5:10 p.m. and 7:10 p.m. screenings.
