Earlier this month WNYC marked its 100th anniversary. St. Ann’s Warehouse, WNYC, and Brooklyn Bridge Park present a free concert on July 27, where pianist Lara Downes will present a new version of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, also 100 years old and still going strong. Also, performances by Rosanne Cash, Afro-Cuban pianist Arturo O’Farrill’s new version of “This Land Is Your Land,” jazz bassist Christian McBride, and more. The July 27 free concert celebrating the centennials of both that piece and WNYC is at Brooklyn Bridge park, rain or shine, starting at 6PM.
