A Rock Opera for the Dreamers

Midday on WNYC | Jul 26, 2018

Chilina Kennedy and Theo Stockman discuss the world premiere of “This Ain’t No Disco,” a rock opera opening at the Atlantic Theater Company.  Set against the backdrop of garbage strikes and graffiti in 1979 New York City, this new musical from Peter Yanowitz and Stephen Trask tells the story of drifters and dreamers navigating the nightlife world of Studio 54 and Mudd Club. "This Ain't No Disco" is running through August 12.

This segment is guest hosted by DW Gibson.
