ROOM8: Icy And Bittersweet Electro Pop

Soundcheck | Jun 12, 2015

Comprised of Ezra Reich and Nic Johns, ROOM8 crafts slick yet bittersweet electro-pop, built around icy keyboards and upbeat, dance-ready beats. The Los Angeles-based duo's debut single, "Visions of You" features another synthy duo, Electric Youth -- the team who wrote "A Real Hero" for the Drive soundtrack. The two earned wider recognition as producers of Kitten's self-titled debut LP --  which was named one of Rolling Stone's Top 20 Pop Albums of the Year. Now, ROOM8 is back with another single -- "No Hard Feelings (feat. King Deco)" -- which furthers the duo's propulsive sound.

Before the band's Pop Shop show with Lemaitre at Brooklyn Bowl as part of this year's Northside Festival, hear ROOM8 play new songs in the Soundcheck studio.
