The program begins with a song to impart the importance of being careful when crossing the street to children. Then, the host asks the two police officers what they think the most important thing is to think about during the Christmas season, and they say keeping safety in mind is the most important. They say the primary cause of accidents this time of year is children playing in dangerous places, children should stick to the playgrounds and schoolyards, and children should stay on the sidewalks at all times. The police give resources for children to find out the best places to play. The program features several safety songs, one about playing ball in the street, and another about remembering your name, address, and telephone number. They stress the importance of children playing in organized games, such as those organized by the Police Athletic League, and they end the program with a short discussion of safety while sledding in the snow.
