One in eight American young people are both unemployed and out of school. This problem is especially pronounced in our nation's cities and urban centers, where under-funded public schools are often incapable of meeting the needs of its most vulnerable students.

But one school is making strides to give students ages 18- through 20-years-old a second chance at earning a high school diploma. YouthBuild Philadelphia Charter School's director of student life, Ameen Akbar, joins a recent graduate, Chalisha Clemens, to talk about the work being done to unearth the potential of their city's youth.

This segment is hosted by Ray Suarez.
