David Callahan, founder and editor of the website Inside Philanthropy, and co-founder of Demos, joins us to discuss his new book, The Givers: Wealth, Power, and Philanthropy in a New Gilded Age. Callahan explores how a new generation of billionaire philanthropists like Mark Zuckerberg are secretly driving causes like the environment and education. Callahan argues their work on these issues is also influencing government policy.
