Son Little – "deeper" (Weekly Music Roundup)

Son Little is a name that sounds like it should belong to an old Delta bluesman. In fact, it belongs to the singer and musician Aaron Livingston, who has been making soul and R&B recordings as Son Little since 2014. He’s also won a Grammy for his work on a record by gospel legend Mavis Staples. But Livingston, like many musicians in the hip hop era, also has a background in beat-making, and has collaborated with The Roots, so it’s not totally surprising to hear some interesting production choices around the edges of his new single, called “deeper.” Son Little's song, "deeper" is part of our Weekly Music Roundup.
