The Soundtrack To Dave Holmes' Life

Dave Holmes was the VJ on MTV in the '90s, and he fed Takeaway producer John Asante's obsession for discovering new music. Asante recently had the chance to meet Holmes and ask him. They talked about how they use their love of music to mark important moments of their lives as they tried to fit in.

Holmes has written a memoir, "Party of One: A Memoir in 21 Songs," about the songs that shaped his life.
