On January 8th, New York launched online sports betting, pulling in $150 million on the first weekend alone. Listeners call in to share their successes and pitfalls in sports betting so far and listeners in New Jersey, where sports betting has been legal since 2018, share advice.

Beware the “roll over”! This usually a high threshold of money you need to place in bets before being able to withdraw any of your winnings. This is often piggy backed with those matching deals ($500 ‘free’ dollars for your first bet, etc…) @BrianLehrer
