A staged quinceaƱera brings authentic joy in a Bushwick warehouse

WNYC News | Jun 13, 2022

"Quince," a new play being staged at the Bushwick Starr, tells the story of a 15-year-old Chicana confronting her queer identity on the eve of her quinceaƱera. The staging is so immersive that audience members might feel as though they're distant relatives. Co-produced with One Whale's Tale, the play runs through June 26th in Bushwick, and an adapted version comes to Lincoln Center's Hearst Plaza on July 17th.
