Summer Sounds: Submit Your Stories

The Brian Lehrer Show | Sep 18, 2015

When we asked our listeners to send us their summer sound recordings, we weren't sure how many we'd get (maybe 30, 35?). But you sent us close to 150 sounds. You took us to Spanish Harlem. You took us to Spain. You woke us up early to hear the parrots in Queens. You kept us up late with coyotes in Westchester. We listened to every single sound, and it was a joy. Thank you - really - to everyone who submitted.

Now here's the fun part: Listen above to the 90-second audio medley we created using your sound submissions. Then, write a story that corresponds with those sounds. Be as creative as you can - it doesn't necessarily need to be grounded in reality, it just needs to make sense with the timing of the sounds. So make sure it's about 90 seconds long when read aloud, and submit your story below!

Still a little confused? Click below to hear Brian explain how to play.

And the deadline: anytime before our show on Tuesday, September 22nd (10am) - but keep in mind, if we have ample time to read your story we're more likely to contact you!
