“They Will Take My Island” is the name of a new collaboration by the Canadian-Armenian film maker Atom Egoyan and the Armenian-American composer Mary Kouyoumdjian presented by the Met Museum. The work’s themes of family and immigration have played out in both artist’s works in the past. JACK Quartet and Silvana Quartet perform Mary Kouyoumdjian's new music for films by Atom Egoyan. The program called They Will Take My Island premieres Tuesday evening, Jan. 26 as part of the Met’s Live Arts series – online this season.
