The Top Risks of 2016

Now that we're into 2016, take a moment to think through the big international stories of the past war: the ongoing war in Syria, the splintering of Europe and the Greek debt situation, the refugee and migrant crisis, and of course, the Paris attacks and spread of ISIS. 

It's an overwhelming task, particularly when the majority of those problems, if not all, were left unresolved and open ended as we head into the new year.

Ian Bremmer, president and founder of Eurasia Group, a global political risk research and consulting firm, looks at these problems every year, and releases a Top Risks report in January for the year ahead. 

This year, Bremmer says that our attention should center on America's inward turn.
