Leonard Nimoy, who played the iconic role of the cold and calculating officer Mr. Spock in "Star Trek," died today, February 27, 2015, at age 83. 

Leonard Nimoy may have been a poet, singer, film director, and photographer, but to many he will always be known as Mr. Spock – the half-Vulcan, half-human with pointy ears on the iconic television series, “Star Trek.”  He didn't make his Hollywood debut until he was 20, with a bit part in “Queen for a Day” in 1951. He and William Shatner first worked together on an episode of “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”! We were lucky to have had the chance to speak with him on The Leonard Lopate Show back in 2002, and you can hear his interview here!
