A Year of Trump: How the President Has Impacted the Environment

We’re now a year into the Trump presidency, and this week we’ve been cataloging the effects of his first year in office across a number of areas. So far, we’ve looked at the economy and the courts, and today we go to the environment.

Coming into office, President Trump vowed to withdraw from the Paris Climate Accords, a promise he followed through on in June. It’s one of many decisions that the administration has made in regards to the environment and climate issues in the past year.

Kendra Pierre-Louis, a climate reporter for The New York Times, discusses the Trump administration’s effect on the environment after the first year
