Understanding the Hidden Laws that Govern Nature at Every Level

The Leonard Lopate Show | Mar 11, 2016

When scientists set out to answer life’s most basic questions, they discovered the rules that regulate life at every level - from the number of animal and plant species in an ecosystem, to the number of molecules in our bodies. Scientist, professor and Vice President for Science Education at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute Sean Carroll discusses his book Serengeti Rules: The Quest to Discover How Life Works and Why it Matters and reveals how these rules can be applied to solve the world's problems.

Event: Sean Carroll will be in conversation with science journalist Carl Zimmer at Cooper Union (The Great Hall, Foundation Building, 7 East 7th St. b/w 3rd and 4th Aves.) on March 15th at 6:30 p.m.
