Už jsme doma at Elsewhere
Nov. 2. 6PM. $20.55

When they began, the rock band Už jsme doma was illegal. In communist Czechoslovakia, they played secret shows to avoid arrest. After the Velvet Revolution in 1990, Už jsme doma's music became a pillar of the Czech rock and avant-garde scenes. The band’s name literally means “we are already home,” although it’s more loosely translated as “now I get it.” Their shows can be famously energetic and unpredictable. With almost 40 years of history, the band has put together a best-of collection Pohádek ze Zapotřebí znovuudělání fortelné, which includes the song, “Kuzelina,” or “Ms. Lazybones” The Czech band Už jsme doma of "art punk prog jazz freak friends" (AS220 Instagram), makes a rare NY appearance on Nov. 2 at Elsewhere.
