W4RP Trio & LiKWUiD – "Here’s One" (Soundcheck Podcast)

The W4RP Trio is well named, because they warp and subvert everything you might expect from a trio, including the most basic thing of all: W4RP spells its name with a 4 where the A should be, because they actually have four members – piano, violin, cello, and drums. There’s lot of electronics and guests in their music too, including their longtime collaborator, the spoken word artist LiKWUiD. She joins them on their latest project, Sermon Of The MatriarK, a celebration of strong women in the Black diaspora. W4RP Trio and LiKWUiD play a live set in our studio.
