The New York Times recently published an investigation that found students at some Hasidic yeshivas are not receiving an adequate education in subjects like math and science. And the topic of ultra-Orthodox Jewish yeshivas took center stage in Albany this week, when the state Board of Regents passed new regulations meant to ensure students in religious private schools receive a quality education.
