WNYC News | Jun 3, 2020

Westchester County lawmakers and political candidates reacted with outrage following a months-long WNYC investigation into secret police recordings in Mount Vernon. At a press conference, Mimi Rocah, a democratic primary challenger to incumbent District Attorney Anthony Scarpino, called for an independent investigation by the state attorney general's office into the allegations. A spokesman for Scarpino's campaign dismissed the call as political theater.
