What Do You Want the MTA to Know About Your Commute?

WNYC News | Jul 17, 2017

Updated, July 19, 7:30 a.m.:

One thing we've heard from so many subway riders is this feeling of powerlessness amid frequent delays and service disruptions. How can one person bring about change? This is where we come in. There’s a group of people ultimately responsible for our transit system, and a cornerstone of the We the Commuters project is giving commuters a voice and helping them hold those people accountable.

On Wednesday, July 26, the MTA will hold its monthly board meeting. This meeting is open to the public, and if you get there 30 minutes early, you can sign up to speak for two minutes before the board.

Problem is, the meeting is at 10 a.m. Most New Yorkers who commute by subway have to be at work at that hour.

So here's the assignment: If you could direct one question, comment or grievance to the MTA, what would it be? Just submit your comment below, and we'll compile them into a message for our ambassador to deliver.

AND, if you're free on the morning of the 26th and interested in being our ambassador, we want to hear from you! Email james@wnyc.org to find out more.
