Local Farms Feel The Pressure Of ICE

The Leonard Lopate Show | Jun 20, 2017

Journalist Michael Frank joins us to discuss his latest story in The Atlantic, “Can America's Farms Survive the Threat of Deportations?” He is joined by Michael Hurwitz, director of GrowNYC's Greenmarket, and Zaid, one of the organic farmers who supplies food to the NYC Greenmarkets. Frank investigates how farmers and farmworkers in upstate New York are faring under the current administration — and a newly emboldened ICE.
