What If Nuns Ran the Catholic Church?

The Brian Lehrer Show | Sep 11, 2014

Despite Pope Francis' sometimes progressive statements, women are still kept out of positions of power in the Catholic Church. Journalist and author of If Nuns Ruled the World: Ten Sisters on a Mission (Open Road Media, 2014), Jo Piazza, asks how the church might look if women could be ordained as priests, and profiles several feminist, progressive nuns such as Sister Maureen Fiedler, host of the radio show Interfaith Voices, who are working to change the status quo.
