Beverly Johnson was the first black supermodel to grace the cover of Vogue. In The Face That Changed It All: A Memoir, she chronicles her childhood growing up as a studious, and sometimes bullied, bookworm during the socially conscious, racially charged ’60s, and her successful three-decade career in modeling.

Event: Beverly Johnson will be speaking and signing books tonight, September 10, at the Tribeca Barnes and Noble, 97 Warren Street, at 6:00 pm.
