Singer/songwriter Dar Williams joins us to discuss her new book, What I Found in a Thousand Towns: A Traveling Musician's Guide to Rebuilding America's Communities—One Coffee Shop, Dog Run, and Open-Mike Night at a Time. Drawing from her touring experiences through towns across the U.S. as well as tapping into the work of urban theorists, Williams looks at why some towns flourish while others steadily decline.
