Why Soros' $20 Million Donation For Undocumented Immigrants Is Taking So Long To Distribute

A $20 million donation from George Soros’s Open Society Institute is taking longer to reach needy New York City immigrants than some might have expected, because the city says it needed to select community organizations and set up a system for distributing the funds. Undocumented immigrants who lost work during the coronavirus pandemic don't qualify for unemployment or the federal stimulus.
