They discuss how the rise in automation of manual labor and analysis may affect job obsolescence as well as job creation. The employed must be willing to change careers and shift their skills with technology. This will expand service and information and create challenges in training. They look at the issue from the point of view of the consumer whose life is made more convenient through automation and the provider whose job description is evolving.

They also discuss how automation may affect copyright and the duplication and dissemination of original work.
