How do I update or make changes to my Sustaining Membership?

You can update your payment information in 2 ways:

Create an account for our online Member Center to make changes to your monthly donation.

Call our 24-hour pledge center at 888-376-9692 and let them know you would like to update payment information for any existing donation.

How do I cancel or suspend my monthly donation?

You can sign up for an online account, which allows you to make changes to your monthly donation. Go to https://pledge.wnyc.org/user/email-link

Enter the email address associated with your membership.

Select the Submit Request button.

You will receive a one-time authentication link in your inbox to access your account.

Once you are logged in, select the My recurring donations tab.

Select the amount for the active monthly donation.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and select the reason you are canceling from the dropdown menu.

Select Cancel donation series.

This cancels your monthly donation, and no subsequent charges will take place. If you run into any issues logging in or need assistance canceling your donation, please contact us here.

How do I update my contact information or check the status of my account?

To update your contact information or check on your membership, please call our Listener Services at (646) 829-4000 or use our contact form. Be sure to include your full name and/or membership number in the message.

Why am I getting renewal notices? I thought I was a Sustaining Member.

You may have a duplicate membership account under different contact information. Please call our Listener Services at (646) 829-4000 or use our contact form. Be sure to include your full name and/or membership number in the message.

I just pledged to give monthly. When will my card be charged?

Your first monthly gift will be charged 1-2 business days after you have made your pledge. After that, your card will be charged monthly on the anniversary of your original donation (the date the pledge was made).

How do I access my yearly tax letter?

We will send an email to the address on file at the end of January. If you do not receive it by early February, please call our Listener Services at (646) 829-4000 or use our contact form.

Do I have to pledge again to receive a thank you gift?

No. If you have not chosen a gift with your pledge for the year, you can request one at any time, even during pledge drives. To request a gift please call our Listener Services at (646) 829-4000 or use our contact form.

When can I expect my thank you gift?

Please allow approximately 6-8 weeks for the processing and delivery of your requested thank you gift. This includes The New Yorker magazine subscriptions.

Does my New Yorker subscription renew with my Sustaining Membership every year?

No. The magazine subscription is for one year. As a Sustaining Member, your membership is ongoing, but due to the arrangements we have with each magazine we can’t automatically renew gift subscriptions of a magazine.

However, since you are eligible for a gift every year, you can ask us for the magazine annually with a call to Listener Services at (646) 829-4000 or use our contact form. Be sure to include your full name and/or membership number in the message.

Am I entered into the pledge drive contests?

Yes. As a monthly Sustaining Member you are automatically entered into all pledge drive contests. You do not have to fill out the online entry form or call in a pledge during the on-air pledge drives.

Will my pledge be matched during an on-air pledge drive matching period?

No. The matching periods only apply to new pledges rather than monthly ones. Matching periods are time sensitive in that they only last as long as the available funds do, so we aren’t able to apply matching funds to existing donations. However, your pledge is just as important to us during non-matching periods.

Is my gift to WNYC tax-deductible?

Yes. Your gift your gift to WNYC is fully tax-deductible, minus the fair market value of any thank you gifts requested.
