The Brooklyn Folk Festival at Jalopy

Nov. 6-8 | 12 pm | $75+

The Brooklyn Folk Festival is more than just banjos and fiddlers, though there are plenty of both. This annual weekend event in Red Hook takes a global view of folk music, with performances of Balinese music from Gamelan Yowana Sari, Mexican songs by Guachinangos, oud music from Sudan by Mohammad Araki, plus a set by guitarist Louis Cato, and much more. It all builds up to a headline set on Sunday by Bonnie “Prince” Billy, but he's just one of dozens of musicians taking part in the Brooklyn Folk Festival, tonight, November 6, through Sunday night, November 8, at Jalopy in Brooklyn.
